Pandit Dindayal Primary School – provision of clean drinking water
Our third international project in conjunction wirh the Rotary Club of Baroda Metro has seen the installation of a system to provide clean water to a primary school of 1200 pupils from very poor families.
The school authorities are delighted to get this plant since it can solve the problem of potable water which was a serious concern for the school. It is anticipated that the high incidence of sickness in the children will now be eliminated.
The plant has facilities for hand washing as well as drinking water and has the capacity to deliver 300 litres/hour. It comes with a three year warranty which means that the school will not have any financial responsibility for three years.
President Sonal Desai writes << We, the members of Rotary Baroda Metro shall ever remain grateful to you & your club for your continuous support & faith in us to do joint humanitarian projects like this! Hope to have more such humanitarian activities together in future too!
Along with the plant, we have provided them 1000 litre water tank with stand. Even new taps have been given in one corner for the children to their direct access for drinking this safe water. Steel glasses will also be put up very soon. The wash platform has yet to be built up. After handing over this plant, it is our pleasure to announce that this school will become “Happy School ” under Rotary India Literacy Mission. Special thanks goes to you and your club for keeping faith in us and being with us for such a great humanitarian work!
Thanks a lot again on behalf of whole Rotary Baroda Metro club. And hope to have more endeavours in future together! >>
An excellent example of ‘Rotary in Action’.
